Portal pages give you the ability to create custom pages that can be filled with a variety of widgets to display content.

Users with the CreateEditContentPages permission have access to all the pages. If you aren’t sure whether you have this permission, you can submit a support ticket to ask:

  1. In Adobe Digital Media Demos, click Support at the top right.
  2. On the support page, click New Support Ticket, then complete the ticket and submit it.

To create a page:

  1. In Adobe Demos Admin, click Manage Portal Pages:

  2. At Manage Portal Pages, click New Page:

  3. At Add Page 1, complete the settings:

    Title

Type the title of the page, which will be displayed on the browser tab.

    URL path

Type the URL path you want to add to the standard portal URL. This is the name of the page that will appear in the browser address bar.

    OR

Click Generate to use the title to create a URL name for you.

    Card Image

Click the gray box to upload an image to use when the page is listed on a Pages Widget.

    Page is active

Active by default. Make inactive by clicking the toggle button. This determines whether the page is accessible to users.

    Visibility Restrictions

Click Restrict page visibility to selected roles to set access to selected roles only. Under Visibility Restrictions:

    1. Click the toggle button to restrict which user roles can view the demo card.
    2. Click the Choose Roles drop-down to select the roles.

Restricting the page blocks users from seeing the page in lists or being able to view it, but it doesn't affect the visibility of individual demos cards. If the page is unrestricted, the demo cards are still filtered according to their restrictions.

  4. Click Next.
  5. At Add Page 2, add an owner (you can also simply click Next to skip this step). An owner is a user who is not an admin but has access to edit the page. In other words, as user who is a page owner has permissions to edit a page they are the owner of.

    Add page owners

    1. Click Add Owner.
    2. In the Select Users dialog, click below Search users by name or email, then type the user’s name or email and select the name in the search results:

    3. Click Okay.

  6. Click Next.
  7. At Add Page 3, add content widgets:

    Add Page Content

    1. Click + Add Widget.
    2. At Select widget to add to page, select a widget (see sections below for information about setting up each widget):

    Demo Collection

Displays a set of demo cards that a user can either manually pick or automatically filter.

    Group List

Displays a set of cards for all demo groups at the root level. Clicking into a group brings a user to a page for that group.

    Page Collection

Displays a set of cards for the chosen pages.

    Markdown Section

Display a section of markdown formatted text.

  8. Once you’ve added your widgets, click Save.
