Global roles define permissions for Adobe Digital Media Demos. These roles are assigned to users and ID groups.

Add a New Role

  1. In Adobe Demos Admin, under Security & User Management, click Manage Global Roles:



  2. On the Manage Global Roles Page, click + New Role:



  3. On the Create Role page, complete the settings:



    Name*

    Required. Type a name for the group.

    Display Name*

    Required. Type a display name for the group.

    Is Active

    Active by default. To turn it off, click the toggle button.

    Permissions

    Click to assign a permissions group to the role. Click next to the assigned group to add additional groups.



  4. Click Create Role.

To view, add, and remove users for a role:

  1. In Adobe Demos Admin, under Security & User Management, click Manage Global Roles:



  2. On the Manage Global Roles page, on the role you want to view users for, click View Users at the bottom center:



  3. Note the users. You can also take these actions on this page:

    Add user

    1. Click + Add user:



    2. To search for a user, type a name or portion of a name, then select the user from the search results:



    3. Click Add User.

    View

    See how to view user information and make certain updates.

    Remove

    Click and confirm that you want to remove the user.


To delete a role:

  1. In Adobe Demos Admin, under Security & User Management, click Manage Global Roles:



  2. On the Manage Global Roles page, on the role you want to delete, click Delete at the bottom right:



  3. Carefully review the effects of deleting a global role. To confirm, select the checkbox, then click Delete Role; otherwise, click Cancel:


To edit settings for a role:

  1. In Adobe Demos Admin, under Security & User Management, click Manage Global Roles:



  2. On the Manage Global Roles page, click Edit at the bottom left:



  3. On the Edit Role page, update the settings as needed:



    Name*

    Required. Update the name of the group as needed.

    Display Name*

    Required. Update the display name of the group as needed.

    Is Active

    To turn it on or off, click the toggle button.

    Permissions

    To add a permissions group, click next to any permissions already assigned, then select a group. Repeat to add additional groups.

    To remove a permissions group, click the x next to it.



  4. Click Save Properties.
